Inside look at best of New York Farm Show

<p>PLENTY OF IRON: There were plenty of chances for New York Farm Show visitors to see the latest machinery, as seen from the second floor of the Exposition Center at the New York State Fairgrounds.</p>

<p>NEW TRACK TRACTOR: John Deere launched its new Eight Series tractor lineup last year. The company brought its 8RX-370 track tractor to this year’s New York Farm Show. Deere claims that these are the industry’s first fixed-frame four-track tractors.&nbsp;</p>

<p>HIGH-CLEARANCE SPRAYER: New York-based Oxbo brought its high-clearance 7550 sprayer to the show. With 77 inches of crop clearance, the company claims to have the highest-clearance sprayer in the industry.</p>

<p>NEW WORKMASTER: New Holland recently launched new models of its Workmaster utility tractors, featuring 316-degree visibility and optional high-visibility roof panel.</p>

<p>BIG CHOPPER: Krone brought its line high-capacity choppers, including this chopper equipped with its EasyFlow 380 S header.</p>

<p>WIDE-SPRAYING DRONE: Empire Drone Co. brought its new Agras T16 spraying drone to the show, featuring an upgraded radar system that can sense the operating environment day or night; forward and backward obstacle avoidance; and a horizontal field of view of 100 degrees, double that of previous models. &nbsp;</p>

<p>CALF HOUSING: Agri-Plastics brought its new Buddy Hutch system to New York Farm Show, featuring a lower door height to keep drafts at bay and multiple vents for ventilation.</p>

<p>OLD IRON: While most visitors to the show were there to see new iron, there was plenty of old iron to see, including this Farmall A from Finger Lakes Antique Power.</p>

<p>BEEF’S A HIT: One of the most popular foods at New York Farm Show is the hot beef sundae, made of mashed potatoes over slow-roasted beef, topped with gravy and cheddar cheese, and a cherry tomato.</p>

<p>PLENTY OF ROBOTS: Several robotic dairy manufacturers, including DeLeval and Lely, have made New York Farm Show a go-to event each year.</p>

<p>TOOLS FOR THE JOB: Visitors to the Center for Progress building perused the small-tool corner of the building, where vendors sold all kinds of small tools to the show’s visitors.</p>

<p>REPRESENTING BLUE: Noah Weiler, Emily Carey and Valerie Lewis, FFA state officers, spent three days visiting with New York Farm Show selling tickets for a raffled off Farmall BN tractor.</p>

<p>SAMPLING GOODNESS: Ashley Lynn Winery in Waterloo offered samples and sales of wine at the show, offering visitors a place to relax and unwind from looking at machinery and technology.</p>

<p>STOCKING UP: It wasn’t just about tractors and robots. Shoppers young and old stocked up on their favorite farm gear at this year’s New York Farm Show.</p>
