Are your hay tools ready for mowing, raking, tedding and baling in 2020? Or are you ready to find a new home for one or more of the tools in your current lineup and replace them with something newer with state-of-the-art technology?
If you’re looking to upgrade, be sure to check out the latest haymaking products from companies that are serious about the hay and forage business. The products in this gallery were uncovered by Farm Progress editors at recent farm shows.
The lineup shown here features two new products for mowing and conditioning hay. Check out the comments about each one. Then learn more by using the contact information to check out details that each company offers about its new product.
There also are two new big round balers in the lineup. They join a strong lineup of competitive equipment already on the market, from these and other companies. If your round baler has seen better days, here is a great place to start researching what new features you could obtain and what type of dependability you can expect if you traded up to a new model for 2020.
Massey Ferguson offers the RB 4100V big round baler for your inspection for 2020. Massey Ferguson is an Agco company. Meanwhile, Claas introduces the Rollant 520 big round baler to its lineup. In both cases, company spokespeople say these new models offer significant improvements over previous models that each company offered for making big round bales.
There also are new hay rakes among products offered for making hay more efficiently with less downtime this coming season. H&S Manufacturing introduces an attractive rake with big wheels, and New Holland also adds a new hay rake that features a twin-basket design. This new hay rake from New Holland can take a 30-foot swath in one pass across the field.
Check out these and the other products offered in this lineup. See which ones may deserve a spot in your hay tool lineup this year.
